The Gold Rush Cluster is comprised of the Yosemite Kennel Club (YKC), with their shows being on Thursday and Friday, April 8 - 9, and the Sierra-Tuolumne Kennel Club, Inc. (STKC) having their shows on Saturday and Sunday, April 10 - 11, 2010.
Show Dates are Thursday, April 8, 2010, through Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Merced County Fairgrounds, Martin Luther King Way and Childs Avenue, Merced, CA 95340 - located conveniently close to Highway 99.
This year, in keeping with our "Gold Rush Theme", we will be offering,
each day, cash as prizes for Best in Show ($100.00), High
Combined ($40.00), High in Trial ($40.00), and 1st in Group placements
($40.00).
We have large, grassy outdoor rings, fully carpeted indoors rings for Obedience and Rally and also indoor rings for the toy, non-sporting, and terrier breeds, plus the Group and Best in Show Judging. We also have several other areas that can be used for Specialties.
This year the Bouvier Club of Northern California will be having their Specialty with Sweepstakes on Friday and on Saturday they will have Supported Entry. Their website is www.thebouvierclub.com for additional information. Sweepstakes Judge will be Ms. Sandi Weldon from Nipomo, CA.
Our vendor area is centrally located by the indoor and outdoor rings and vendors may be placed either on grass or asphalt. More information is located on our Vendors web page.
RV parking is level and convenient and most spots have access to electrical power, but there is no guarantee of electrical power. RV parking is on both grass and asphalt. There are showers and bathroom facilities on the fairgrounds. More information, along with the reservation form, is available on the RV Parking web page.
The City of Merced has many fine restaurants and fast food eateries, hotels, Costco, Smart & Final, along with a large shopping mall.
